Built from real life experience

Founded by Johan Setiawan and Dana Phang, Superstar Education is built on genuine lived experience. Johan was born in Indonesia, and Dana was born in Cambodia. Both came to Australia as international students and personally experienced the journey of living, studying, and building a future abroad. Today, they reside in Sydney with their family, while maintaining strong ties to Indonesia and Cambodia through regular travel and community connection. This unique cross-border background gives Superstar Education a strong understanding of both the student journey and the family perspective behind every study decision.

Having personally experienced the journey of living and studying in Australia, Johan and Dana understand that studying abroad is more than choosing schools or submitting applications. It is a major life decision involving ambition, family support, investment, lifestyle, and building a future. They built Superstar Education to become the kind of agency they wished they had from the beginning: one that offers not only professional advice, but also empathy, trust, and continuous support.

Their multicultural family life, with roots in Indonesia, Cambodia, and Australia, allows them to connect naturally with students and parents across different backgrounds while maintaining a strong understanding of the Australian education system and lifestyle. Our Sydney foundation keeps us closely connected to Australia's education landscape, while our Indonesia and Cambodia offices allow us to remain deeply engaged with the communities and families we serve. Our foundation is in Australia, our experience is international, and our commitment is always personal.
